Daifuku cakes, made from glutinous mochi rice and various sweet fillings, are one of the most popular of Japan’s traditional confections. Minato Seika Daifuku offers shiro (white), aka (red), and kusa (mugwort) daifuku, all filled with delicious home-made whole-bean anko paste. The company has developed an new style of daifuku, filled with soy bean cream: soft mochi cake is wrapped around various flavours of bean paste - including matcha, coffee, strawberry, and sesame - and rounded off with a deliciously soft centre of soy bean cream.
